Karolina Kaczmarek

Founder & Product Development Director

Karolina is an accomplished Project Manager with deep experience in high-end residential, commercial, and institutional construction across New York City. With a Master's in Architecture and Urban Planning from Gdansk Technical University and additional training at Stuttgart Technical University, she brings a strong architectura foundation to complex construction environments.

At Fitz and Mila, Karolina manages day-to-day project operations, including buyouts, budgeting, value engineering, consultant coordination, submittals, RFls, and cost forecasting

Her portfolio includes luxury condominium towers at 301

East 80th Street and 301 East 81st Street, as well as the modular POD Hotel at 626 Driggs Avenue, where her attention to detail and organizational skill were essential.

She is known for her technical precision, design sensibility, and ability to deliver complex projects on time, on budget, and with exceptional quality.

Matthew Helma

Co-Founder & Technical Director

Matt brings more than 18 years of experience across premium construction, millwork, and large-scale roofing systems. He began at Granite and Marble Inc., his family's company, where he mastered custom marble, granite, and quartz design and installation.

In New York, he expanded into custom cabinetry design and fabrication, giving him a deep understanding of modern interiors and the technical details behind quality millwork.

Matthew spent many years as a Construction Manager at Roof Meadows, leading major roof, waterproofing, and green-roof projects throughout NJ and NY. His experience includes managing multi-million-dollar developments such as 38 Jackson, WTC and The Reserve Estuary.

Stefania Fleck

Design Director & Project Coordinator

Stefania is a registered architect in NY and NJ with more than a decade of experience delivering high-end residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects across New York City. Before joining Fitz & Mila, she shaped major developments at firms like HOK, SOM, and CetraRuddy, where she oversaw design development, contract documents, construction administration, and on-site coordination for some of Manhattan's most notable buildings.At Fitz & Mila, Stefania brings the precision of an architect directly into the construction process. She manages active job sites, leads client design reviews, coordinates materials, and ensures every project maintains the firm's standards of craftsmanship, transparency, and cost control. Her ability to bridge design vision with real-world execution is one of the reasons homeowners trust Fitz & Mila with their most important spaces.Stefania holds a Master of Architecture from Columbia University and is a LEED AP and NCARB-certified architect. Her approach is defined by thoughtful design, technical rigor, and a commitment to creating beautifully built spaces that stand the test of time.

Kasia Helma

Managing Principal & Construction Coordinator

Kasia has 15 years of hands-on construction management experience, Kasia brings precision, discipline, and deep field expertise to every Fitz & Mila project. Her background spans residential and commercial builds, where she has overseen projects from early planning through final inspection with a relentless focus on quality, safety, and client satisfaction.At Fitz & Mila, Kasia leads Construction Administration with a calm, solutions-driven approach-interpreting architectural drawings, coordinating subcontractors, navigating permits, and ensuring that every detail in the field aligns with the design intent. She manages site logistics, budgets, schedules, RFls, change orders, inspections, and compliance with OSHA and local building regulations, ensuring projects stay organized, efficient, and on track.Prior to joining Fitz & Mila, Kasia held senior construction administration roles at Vizion Builders and Magic Home Services, where she built her reputation for strong leadership, reliable execution, and exceptional site management.Certified in OSHA-30 and OSHA SST, and trained in Construction Administration at Southern New Hampshire University, Kasia is known for her ability to maintain safe job sites, guide teams with clarity, and uphold the high standards that define the Fitz & Mila brand.
